Junior Olympic Levels 1-10
Team Extreme is currently compiled of 100+ gymnasts and growing. These dedicated gymnasts compete in Sanctioned meets across the country & fun meet closer to home. Last season our JO (Junior Olympic) team produced several State Champions, took home tons of state meet top 3 awards and countless invitational awards, team & individual. Every level 7 & 8 gymnast advanced to Region 5 Regionals.
Most gymnasts begin the road to the competitive program by first advancing through the recreational class levels then progressing onto one of our Developmental teams and ultimately advancing to Level 4. Competitive gymnastics is a young sport and takes strength, dedication and determination. The sooner they get started the more likely it is that they will achieve the higher levels or even have the chance to compete at the college level. Gymnasts can begin on the team as young as 5 years old. Do you think your child has what it takes to be a part of our team?

I have been coaching Women’s competitive gymnastics since 1990 and opened Extreme in June of 2000. I am proud to have been awarded Michigan coach of the year during my career. I have also helped many athletes achieve state, regional and national titles as well as college scholarships. Most importantly I am proud to be able to help children learn new skills and achieve their personal goals.

Melissa is currently a certified personal trainer in addition to coaching and provides extensive strength and flexibility training for our team girls.
I began coaching my sophomore year of high school, continued through college. I have worked extensively with beginning through advanced recreational classes – everything from parent-tot to adult, ninja warrior, etc. I also have coached pre-team, Level 4, Level 5, and Bronze-Gold Xcel. My favorite part of coaching is getting to share and grow my passion for the sport of gymnastics with others.
