Angela Schocker

Gym Owner

My journey with Extreme Gym began when my daughter joined a Parent & Tot class at just 2 years old. She went on to compete through her senior year and has since graduated from MSU. I truly loved being a gym parent and still miss it today.

My passion for the sport — along with a growing interest in the business side of gymnastics — led me to begin helping in the office in 2008. From there, what started as lending a hand quickly grew into something much bigger.

One of the most exciting parts of this journey has been finding our perfect location and building something from the ground up. Creating Extreme into what it is today — from scratch — has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding.

I am so proud to be part of the growth and development of Extreme and look forward to many more years ahead.

Destinee Wells

executive director of operations

Destinee has been part of the Extreme family for 8 years and currently serves as our Facility Manager.

Over the years, she has truly done it all — working in the office, coaching, helping in management, and even teaching art classes. Her wide range of experience allows her to support every area of the gym and confidently share all that Extreme has to offer — from gymnastics and art classes to birthday parties and the play area.

Destinee loves the welcoming, family-like atmosphere between both staff and customers and takes pride in being able to recommend everything we offer to friends, family, and even first-time visitors.

With a background as a competitive gymnast turned cheerleader, she has always had a passion for working with kids. In high school, she participated in a childcare program where she visited elementary schools throughout the district to help students with schoolwork and classroom activities — a passion that continues in her role today.

LAUREN ANNAS

MEMBER EXPERIENCE & SALES DIRECTOR

Born and raised in Grosse Pointe Woods, Lauren brings a lifelong passion for people, wellness, and community to everything she does. She spent over four years running her own business, South Lyon Nutrition, where she created a welcoming space for others to enjoy healthy shakes, connect meaningfully, and feel empowered in their wellness journeys.

Lauren also has a strong background in early childhood education, where she loved helping young children grow and thrive during their most important developmental years.

Whether she’s launching a business, teaching, or building vibrant, supportive spaces, Lauren leads with positivity, purpose, and a deep commitment to connection.
